Ferrocerium (Firesteel) is an alloy of metals that produces a large number of sparks when rubbed with its scraper or a rough surface, such as a piece of fluted steel or the spine of a knife. It also includes a telescopic blower to concentrate the air and stoke the fire, avoiding swallowing smoke.
Ferrocerium is much more reliable than a lighter since it does not break, it does not spoil when it gets wet, nor does it stop working at high altitudes or low temperatures (occasions in which the gas does not gas, remains liquid, and does not come out of the lighter when activated ). A must have for all outdoor and survival enthusiasts.
